Skid Design and Structural Analysis

Skid design and structural analysis is one of the main business activities of CCPGE. This analysis aims to evaluate the stresses, deformations, vibration levels, and supporting loads of skid structures to improve the skid structural design and prevent excessive vibration.

Skid design and structural analysis includes static analysis and dynamic analysis. Static analysis calculates the stresses and deformations of the skid in lifting and transportation operations, while dynamic analysis calculates the vibration levels, dynamic stresses and deformations of the skid structures and mounted compressors, drivers, piping, pressure vessels, etc. The skid supporting loads are also calculated based on skid static and dynamic analysis.

CCPGE uses ANSYS and STAAD Pro software to perform skid design and structural analysis. The applied loads include weights of compressor packages (compressor, driver, skid, piping, pressure vessels, etc.), unbalanced forces and moments of compressors and drivers, pressure pulsation induced shaking forces, cylinder gas pressures, wind loads and seismic loads, etc.
